# What if I am uncomfortable treating certain conditions?

At MiResource, we believe providers should practice within their areas of strength and expertise. That’s why you can indicate conditions you **prefer not to treat** during profile setup — or at any time afterward.
#### **To add treatment exceptions:**
1. Go to your **Dashboard**
2. Click **Edit Profile**
3. Navigate to the **Specialty** tab
Scroll down to **Treatment Exceptions**

From there, you can add any conditions you're not comfortable treating.
**Note:** These preferences are **not visible** to clients or patients. They simply help MiResource match you more accurately and prevent inappropriate referrals.
